Adequacy Of Radiology Equipment Availability Of Follow-Up Examination Patient Satisfaction Radiology Examination Alternatives Radiology Services
Abstract
Background: Radiology services play a crucial role in supporting patient diagnosis and therapy monitoring. Limited radiology facilities, such as the lack of follow-up examinations, inadequate equipment, and limited alternative examinations, are thought to impact inpatient satisfaction levels in hospitals.
Purpose: To analyze the relationship between the availability of advanced radiology examinations, the adequacy of radiology equipment, and the availability of alternative radiology examinations with the satisfaction of inpatients at Cut Meutia General Hospital, Langsa City.
Method: The study used quantitative methods with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 516 patients, with a sample of 84 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test.
Results: Most respondents stated that follow-up radiology examinations were unavailable (61.9%), radiology equipment was inadequate (66.7%), and alternative examinations were unavailable (57.1%). Patient satisfaction was dominated by dissatisfaction (59.5%). Chi-square test results showed a significant relationship between the availability of follow-up radiology examinations, the adequacy of radiology equipment, and the availability of alternative radiology examinations with patient satisfaction (p=0.000).
Conclusion: The availability of radiology services significantly impacts inpatient satisfaction at Cut Meutia General Hospital in Langsa City. Therefore, continuous improvements to radiology facilities and service quality are necessary to meet patient needs and enhance patient satisfaction.
