Chronic Kidney Failure Fatigue Hemodialysis Intradialytic Flexibility Exercise
Abstract
Background: Hemodialysis patients often experience Fatigue which impacts the decrease in activity, quality of life, and therapy adherence. Intradialytic flexibility exercise is one of the non-pharmacological interventions that can help reduce Fatigue. The use of an application as an exercise guide medium is expected to improve the effectiveness of exercise implementation through increased understanding, motivation, and patient adherence.
Purpose: To determine the effect of the flexidial Intradialytic flexibility exercise application on Fatigue in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis.
Method: This study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken using purposive sampling, totaling 32 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The respondents were divided into an intervention group and a control group.
Results: The independent t-test obtained a significance value of 0.002 (<0.05), which indicates a significant difference in the mean Fatigue scores between the intervention group and the control group after the intervention.
Conclusion: There is an effect of the Flexidial Intradialytic flexibility exercise intervention on reducing Fatigue in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSUP dr. Sitanala Tangerang.
