Penerapan perawatan luka menggunakan NaCl 0.9% pada pasien ulkus diabetik dengan gangguan integritas kulit: Case report

Abstract
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder caused by impaired insulin secretion, insulin resistance, or both, characterized by chronic hyperglycemia.
Purpose: This case study examines the application of wound cleansing using 0.9% NaCl for 20-30 minutes for 3 days to prevent damage to skin integrity in patients with diabetic ulcers.
Results: The analysis of this case study found that the application of wound cleansing can reduce the risk of infection and accelerate wound healing.
Conclusion: Based on the results of the assessment conducted on Mr. J, it was found that Mr. J felt no pain in the wound due to numbness, there were no signs of infection risk, the wound gradually improved and performed daily wound care using 0.9% NaCl and encouraged the patient to perform self-care at the community health center or home care.
