BPJS Health Chronic Diseases Community Health Center Prolanis RPPT

Abstract

Background: Chronic diseases are long-term health problems that are the leading cause of global death and are expected to continue to increase until 2030. To address these issues, the Indonesian Health Insurance (BPJS Kesehatan), through the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis), is developing a promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative approach to improve the quality of life of patients, particularly those with type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension.

Purpse: To evaluate the implementation of the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis).

Method: This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Research informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique consisting of primary informants, key informants, and supporting informants. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. Data analysis was conducted using thematic techniques using Nvivo software.

Results: The RPPT achievement of 4.43% was still below the target, with constraints on participant participation and compliance. Input components, human resource availability, financing, infrastructure, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) supported the implementation of Prolanis. However, there were still limitations in staff training and certain examination facilities.

Conclusion: The implementation of Prolanis is not optimal and requires increased participation, participant compliance and strengthening of program management.
