Mozart Musik Klasik Perilaku Kekerasan Skizofrenia Terapi
Abstract
Background: Schizophrenia sufferers have higher levels of aggression and violent behavior, including the potential for violence against themselves and others. There are two methods of treating schizophrenia, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be applied is Mozart's classical music therapy which is useful for reducing stress, improving mood, and reducing symptoms of agitation in schizophrenia sufferers who are at risk of violent behavior.
Purpose: To evaluate the application of Mozart's classical music therapy to schizophrenia clients who are at risk of violent behavior.
Method: Case report study to explain the results of the Mozart classical music intervention on early adult male clients with paranoid schizophrenia mozart medical who often experience relapses with nursing problems of violent behavior risk. The study was conducted at the West Java Provincial Mental Hospital on May 29-31, 2024. Evaluation was carried out through subjective and objective symptoms based on the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards book.
Results: Objective and subjective assessments before the intervention, the client appeared restless, clenched hands, sharp eyes, a slightly high tone of voice, stiff posture, and also agitation. After the first intervention, the client appeared somewhat calm and relaxed. The second intervention, the client still had a stiff posture and his hands occasionally clenched. On the third day, the client still had a slightly stiff posture, but better than the first and second days.
Conclusion: Mozart classical music therapy showed better changes in reducing subjective and objective signs related to the risk of violent behavior in schizophrenic clients, especially those who showed behavior that appeared restless, clenched hands, sharp eyes, a slightly high tone of voice, and agitation.
Suggestion: Further research can conduct interventions with a longer period of time because this study was only conducted for 3 days so that the results of Mozart classical music therapy were not optimal.
