Kesalahan Medis Keselamatan Pasien Manajemen Risiko
Abstract
Background: Patient safety is an effort to prevent danger during medical treatment, including medical errors that often occur in hospitals and involve various parties, such as medical personnel and patients. In Indonesia, even though there are national policies and accreditation, patient safety incidents still occur, so nurses need to play an active role in improving the patient safety system to ensure better quality of care.
Purpose: To analyze patient safety as an important pillar in preventing medical errors.
Method: Literature review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. Based on the Watase-Uake site, 397 articles were obtained to be selected according to the criteria. The final result was 11 from elimination (2014-2024), with relevant text, and without language restrictions.
Results: Cases of patient safety incidents, which often occur due to errors by health workers, can have serious impacts including disability and even death. Even though many hospitals have been accredited, patient safety incidents still occur.
Conclusion: Patient safety is an important factor in health services that requires the attention of all parties. Medical errors can affect health and quality of care. Therefore, a good reporting system, increased competency of medical personnel and a safety culture are needed. Collaboration between medical personnel, patients and families is important to create a safe environment, which also impacts the reputation of healthcare services.
