Gangguan Mental Emosional Kesehatan Mental Remaja
Abstract
Background: Mental emotional disorders are mental health conditions affecting more than one billion people globally. It poses a significant health burden, particularly among the younger population, due to the growing number of cases.
Purpose: To analyze the dominant factors affected mental emotional disorders in adolescents
Method: A quantitative resesearch, with an observational-analytical research design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample of 167 adolescents. The data collection technique used the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), and data analysis used logistic regression.
Results: Majority of adolescents (64.7%) experienced mental emotional disorders. While psychological and biological factors had not affected (p = 0.074; p = 0.374), the social factor became the most influential factor affecting adolescent emotional mental disorders (p = 0.005).
Conclusion: Social connections and interactions with the outside environment are more common in adolescence. Unfortunately, if there is a conflict in their social and environmental relationships, adolescents will be at risk of experiencing mental emotional disorders. Therefore, social support for adolescents is needed to prevent cases of mental and emotional disorders from increasing.
