Alat Pendeteksi Vena Kecepatan Ketepatan Pemasangan Infus Perawat
Abstract
Background: Intravenous (IV) insertion is a routine procedure in hospitalized patients, but its success depends on the nurse's ability to accurately locate and access veins. Patients with difficult venous access (DVA) often experience multiple punctures, prolonged procedure times, and an increased risk of complications. Venous detection devices, particularly infrared-based technology, have been introduced to enhance vein visualization.
Purpose: To identify the effectiveness of the vein detection tool on the speed and accuracy of nurses in intravenous procedures.
Method: A systematic review following PRISMA guidelines to analyze studies retrieved from PubMed, Google Scholar, and ProQuest.
Results: Six reviewed studies indicated that venous detection devices improve the first-attempt success rate, reduce insertion time, and minimize the number of punctures.
Conclusion: These findings suggest that venous detection devices can enhance the efficiency of IV insertion in clinical settings.
Suggestion: Further research with larger sample sizes and standardized protocols is needed to strengthen the evidence.
